A former Rhodes Scholar, Tony Abbott served as the Prime Minister of Australia from 2013 to 2015. Abbott's time in office witnessed the cutting of 'red tape' in Australian regulation, the introduction of legislation intended to prevent illegal immigration, and the signing of free trade deals with China, Japan, and South Korea.
