Myanmar and Bangladesh faced challenge from the large Rohngya bulge while Sri Lanka the Easter Sunday attacks shook the security establishment with Presidential elections seeing return of the Rajapaksa brothers while a similar shift in Maldives saw Ibu Solih of the Maldives Democratic Party upstaging the incumbent President.
