A few days ago, I went to Chapai Nawabganj. One of my respected teachers, Dr. Abdul Gani, lives in Rohanpur, Chapai Nawabganj.

Incidentally, I had a chance to visit their house. The house can be called an ideal house of a Suburb area. The entire house has three types of houses; brick-built, tin roofed, and mud made houses.

Let's take a look at the various structures and furnishings of this ideal house.

As soon as I entered the house, I saw a cot/bedstead made of rope and wood. This type of cot/bedstead is widely used in India, but it is not very popular in Bangladesh.
We were very surprised to see the cot.

You can see a tube well in the courtyard.

We all were amazed at the clay made granary on one side of the courtyard. This strange granary made of clay is about 20 feet high. It has a wide mouth on the top through which various types of grains such as rice or wheat are poured.
And there is another mouth at the bottom through which the grains can be taken out.
Quite strange, isn't it?

There are several small earthen pots next to these two large clay bowls. These are called pitchers.

Next to them there is a small clay made cupboard-like furniture.

The house is quite tidy. There are quite a few ornamental plants grown around the veranda.

Let's go inside the clay house. The inner walls are so smooth that it looks like a cement wall.
Shelves have been made digging into the walls in some places. There you can see a bamboo ceiling over your head under the roof.

The house is really neatly arranged.

This is the fun of living in a suburb or a village.

You can decorate your own house with various natural objects mixing your heart's sweetness.

I am ending here today by inviting you to visit such a wonderful house. May everyone be well. Allah Hafez.
