A VR visit to GILLIAN'S WONDERLAND PIER before it closes forever - 2024

After 94 years in business, Gillian's will be closing for good in October 2024. The current owner, Jay Gillian, stated that it is no longer a "viable business". The business opened a few blocks south of this location in 1929 by Jay's grandfather, David Gillian. Jay's father, Roy Gillian, opened Wonderland Pier at its current location in 1965. Jay took control of Wonderland in the late 80s. The property is currently owned by Icona Resorts and they have not released plans for the property.

Bill walked around the entire pier and rode several of the rides including the Haunted Dark Ride, the 1929 PTC Carousel, the Canyon Falls Log Flume, the Frontier Express Monorail, the Glass House, and the Giant Wheel.
