Описание к видео How the Texas Government Deals with Wild Boars Destroying Wheat Fields Using Helicopters

Wild boars are an invasive species that are causing significant damage to agriculture, the environment, and human health in the United States, particularly in the state of Texas.
Wild boars pose a serious threat to the cattle industry in Texas. They consume cattle feed, destroy fences and infrastructure, and can transmit diseases to livestock, causing significant economic losses for ranchers.
According to estimates from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), wild boars cause over $190 million in damages to the cattle industry annually. They damage pastures, forage crops, and pollute water sources, impacting livestock quality and productivity.
Wild boars damage wheat and corn fields during the early growth stages, affecting the plants' development and leading to reduced yields. These wheat fields are ravaged by wild boars from the time the wheat plants are still young until they are harvested. The offspring follow the mother boars into the wheat fields. At this time, they do not eat the young plants but root in the soil to search for insects. They move around, eagerly digging and churning up the soil, causing the young wheat plants to be uprooted and broken under their feet. Wild boars damage wheat and corn fields during the early growth stages, affecting the plants' development and leading to reduced yields.
