ABSTRACT: IoT Home Automation with Alarm ⏰ using NodeMCU Blynk IOT Application with LCD display
The project aims in designing a home automation system which control the electrical appliances in home through Blynk app by using NodeMCU module. Blynk app is used to control the home appliances. The controlling of electrical appliances is done wirelessly through Android smart phone using IOT technology. Here in this project the Android smart phone is used as a remote control for operating the electrical appliances.
The controlling device of the whole system is a NodeMCU module. The ESP8266 based NodeMCU development board. It is an open-source platform for developing Wi-Fi based embedded systems and it is based on the popular ESP8266 Wi-Fi Module, running the Lua based NodeMCU firmware. One of the easiest ways to program NodeMCU is via the Arduino IDE.
2-Relays along with two lights and 2-transistirs along with fan and buzzer are interfaced to the NodeMCU. When the user presses the button from blynk app. The Nodemcu as inbuilt Wi-Fi module so, it receives the data from app. In this home appliances are inter facing through relays and transistors. Relays and transistors work as a switch to ON/OFF the devices. The NodeMCU control the coils of the relays and that causes the relay to alternate between normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) condition depending on the state of the NodeMCU thus, effectively turning the connected appliance “ON” or “OFF”. The load status will display on LCD.

The objectives of the project include:
 Controlling home alliances through Blynk app.
 To Control the devices using Wi-Fi technology.
 Load status can monitor on LCD.
 Relays based device switching.
 Using NodeMCU module to achieve this task.

The main building blocks of the project are:
 NodeMCU.
 2 RELAY BORD.
 2 transistor board.
 4 Appliances (bulb, light, fan, buzzer).
 LCD display.

Software’s used:
1. Arduino ide studio compiler to write the program.
2. Express SCH for Circuit design.
3. Blynk APP.
