How has every Minecraft spin-off game, Legends, Dungeons, and Earth died? Minecraft Legends is Mojang's biggest failure. Out of all Minecraft spin-off games, Minecraft Legends is the worst since it's lost more than 99% of its player base. Why did Minecraft Earth flop? However, microtransactions behind every feature of the game, lack of freedom compared to regular Minecraft, and the timing of release all contributed to Minecraft Earth's failure. Was Minecraft Dungeons a flop? When Dungeons launched, there was a lot of potential. But when forced to purchase the game and then buy Minecraft Dungeons DLCs for good updates, it seems like a cash grab for Mojang. Each game declined relatively quickly following each release.
