Lemmy's FINAL WORDS from stage... 8 years ago TODAY!

December 11th is one of the most bittersweet dates in the history of Rock N’ Roll. The day when Motorhead performed what would become their final show at the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin. The concert which was not supposed to happen due to the many health problems of the band’s legendary frontman, yet which, just like all others on the tour, Lemmy insisted on performing, as he took his final stand on that winter night, less than three weeks before his death.

And although clearly struggling before going for the final bow and playing Overkill, Lemmy introduced the band for one last time…

After which his final words to the audience were as always: "We are Motörhead! And we play Rock N' Roll!"
