Hello The Way We Wore Fans,

We have a super special video for you, about how Doris acquired an Audrey Hepburn Givenchy Haute Couture Ensemble from Breakfast at Tiffany's. This treasure was purchased from Its A Wrap, a store that specializes in selling garments and accessories from wrapped productions and studio warehouses. Doris instinctively purchased the ensemble because of the Givenchy label, the Paramount Studio notation, and the measurements suggesting an extremely petite person wore this ensemble. All these factors, along with some detective work and research done myself lead us to the amazing conclusion, this piece was worn by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 classic Hollywood film Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Audrey Hepburn first visited Givenchy prior to filming Sabrina, the designer was under the impression Katherine Hepburn was meeting him for a fitting. So when Audrey turned up he told her that he was busy with another appointment and that she was welcome to look through the last collection, still thinking Katherine Hepburn was coming to the atelier. When he realized it was Audrey who made the appointment they had a laugh and went to dinner, from that point on their partnership would go on to create the most popular images in fashion and pop culture history. Audrey's wardrobe for Breakfast at Tiffany's is still highly commercialized. Audrey's gown during the beginning titles of the film sold in 2006 for 467,200 pounds over $800,000. Audrey's style is constant source of inspiration whether it be for designing clothes or putting together an outfit. We hope you enjoy this amazing story and the treasure Doris found that belonged to a screen legend.
