The new album was released on 11.11.2011. Is there a special reason behind this date?

Definitely. From a spiritual and metaphysical perspective, the number 11 symbolizes very much for us as a band. And for me personally, it is the number of chaos, renewal and freedom. And having that number in this combination, in the minds of so many people around the world, makes release date something very strong. It was one of those happy events that had befallen us. We have been working towards this for a whole year. In my case, it's even two whole years that I've worked for it. And now. For about 24 hours, I'm finally done with the work on this album. That's what I'm feeling right now. And now the world can do what it wants with it.


Do you experience things on the stage that inspire you?

So I ask because I saw the show at the Rock Hard Festival. I think it was Raon who made strange sounds with his guitar pedals.


And I also hear these sounds on the new album. For example in the song Madness of Sepents.

I think that's because I've always been a crude Hawkwind fan. Some of these sounds are already on our old publications. That runs through our albums. But on this album, we just had more room to delve into the psychedelic aspects of The Devil's Blood Sound, discovered a few new ones! Especially with the song you mentioned, these noises came off as chaotic and unplanned. For example, it happened once that a connected synthesizer fell to the floor. The fall made him strange noises. Since it was still connected and the tape machine was still running, we recorded that sound. If something happens, it happens and you have to leave it where it happens.


I'll give you a few terms now and you'll tell me what comes to your mind.

-A very important tool! Anger is something you should never take away. Let it be and use the energy. Whether for a good or bad purpose. One should never ignore anger. Anger lets you sense the situation in which you find yourself also with your instincts.

Humor.

Humor We are humans so we laugh. Laughter is like rage. Love and hate, anger and humor, laughing and crying. These are all extremely important human experiences. If you leave out one of them, you can not be a real person. I know, it's very trendy or cult, to play cB in a black metal band and to look serious all the time and hide that you have fun. But for me it is absolute time warp. Because the only thing you do with it is to show the people what's not real.


I ask because the artwork from the new album is very colorful. I think of all the colors of life. And a black metal band would use so many colorful colors. And I wonder what the colors represent.

I love when things light up. If they start you. When they appeal to your imagination and allow you to experience more than what you see. That's why I think colors are just very important. We do not have eyes for nothing.
