Sr Antonette Golden Jubilee

We recently celebrated the Golden Jubilee of our Sister Mary Antonette. Part of the celebration was this slide show that we put together using her own personal pictures as well as photos from our community albums. The accompanying music is a bit more rhythmic than is our usual wont since she is a child of the “60’s and still enjoys a modern beat. Sister Antonette has a unique history among cloistered Poor Clare Nuns who generally stay put in one monastery for the duration of their monastic lives. She entered a monastery is Roswell, New Mexico and was then sent to us here in Virginia to assist in a time of need. She was then sent to found a new monastery in the Netherlands. After about 20 years, she returned to us. Here is a loving representation of her journey.
