This international webinar brought together voices from across the Global South and Europe to share practices of mutual aid, gender justice, and transformative care strategies in the face of systemic oppression.

Speakers included:

-- marum:

Has crafted over the years a hybrid artistic practice across music and queer rave culture, exploring ecstatic psychedelia and collective care through expanded sound and multimedia-technologies, rooted in a feminist hacker ethos.

-- Jess Morales:

Antiprohibicionist and decolonial feminist from Guatemala. Drug user, mother and lesbian activist for the rights of people who use drugs. Member of LANPUD and the Latin American working group of INSHU. Winner of the Jude Byrne emerging female leader award in 2023.

-- Abby Domun:

Empowering queer communities through legal advocacy as a trans woman.

Sabrina Sanchez:

A Mexican-born advocate and the Executive Director of the European Sex Workers’ Rights Alliance (ESWA). With a background in journalism and over a decade of experience in sex worker activism, she co-founded Spain’s first sex worker trade union (OTRAS) and now leads ESWA’s advocacy across Europe and Central Asia. Committed to a rights-based and intersectional approach, she champions the recognition of sex work as work and defends the rights of marginalized communities, including migrant, trans, and racialized sex workers.

-- João Caldas:

Community Health Worker at GAT IN Mouraria, where he provides peer counseling, harm reduction support, and health promotion services. His work includes HIV and HCV testing, distribution of safer use materials, and organizing community-led initiatives like CHAM sex talks. João plays a key role in connecting people who use drugs with essential health, social, and legal services, grounded in a peer-led, rights-based approach.

-- Arianna Rogialli:

Policy Officer at Correlation - European Harm Reduction Network, brings a diverse background encompassing various aspects of health and social justice to their role. With a particular emphasis on harm reduction, their background and interests also include SRHR (sexual and reproductive health and rights) and trans-inclusive healthcare. A Medical Anthropologist, Arianna is committed to contributing positively to the intersection of health, justice, and inclusivity within the realm of harm reduction.

-- Ary Teixeira:

Non-binary trans person from Porto. Psychologist, harm reduction worker, and peer educator, currently working in a queer organization.

Moderated and organized by the Campaigns Coordinator of EuroNPUD Joana Canedo.
