🍰Crumb Cake:🍰
✅For the Crumb:
90 grams brown butter or plain melted butter
150 grams all purpose flour or plain flour
100 grams brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
1/4th teaspoon salt
✅For the Cake:
180 grams butter, room temperature and softened
200 grams caster sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
120 grams sour cream, room temperature
3 eggs + 1 egg yolk
200 grams all purpose flour or plain flour
1/4th teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4th teaspoon salt
✅Notes:
1. I've used an 8" x 8" sqaure baking tin greased well and one side lined with parchment paper with plenty of overhang so it's easier to release the cake
2. Preheat oven to 150 Celsius or 300 Fahrenheit.
3. Bake at 150 C / 300 F for 50-55 minutes or until a skewer / knife / toothpick comes out clean. The cake should NOT jiggle in the centre when taking out of the oven. It took me 55 minutes.
