Back in 1944, a 20-year roadmap was quietly crafted by the Ibo elite. The goal was clear: dominate every region of Nigeria and control key sectors of the economy. Two decades later, in 1964, a confidential protocol emerged from the Ibo National Caucus of the Ibo State Union, signed by Drs. Mbadiwe and Mbanugo. This document laid out, in black and white, the strategy for political influence across Nigeria.

It was more than a plan. It was a blueprint for ethnic takeover. The irony is hard to miss. The same people behind this agenda were quick to label everyone else as tribalistic, painting themselves as the only true nationalists while casting others as enemies of unity.

The gaslighting is remarkable. Many Nigerians may want to believe that ordinary Ibo people were not aware of such plans from the 1940s. Yet, what stands out is how deeply some of today’s Ibo politicians carry this same ideology. The words may have changed, but the posture remains. And while they accuse others of hatred, their actions often expose a different story.
