Quick Facts:
• 6th Studio Album released on August 30, 1965.
• Ranked 4th on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
• Peaked on charts at No. 3 in the US and No. 4 in the UK.
• In the US, Highway 61 was certificated as a gold record in August 1967, and platinum in August 1997.

1. Like A Rolling - #1 on Rolling Stone’s Top 500 Songs of All-Time. 1. Although radio stations were reluctant to play such a long track, "Like a Rolling Stone" reached No. 2 in the US Billboard charts and became a worldwide hit. According to review aggregator Acclaimed Music, "Like a Rolling Stone" is the statistically most acclaimed song of all time. At an auction in 2014, Dylan's handwritten lyrics to the song fetched $2 million, a world record for a popular music manuscript.

2. Tombstone Blues –

3. It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry –

4. From A Buick 6 – Been described as "raucous, up-tempo blues", which is played "almost recklessly". In an Apple presentation held in 2006, Steve Jobs noted that this was his favorite track of all time.

5.Ballad of A Thin Man – Revolves around the mishaps of a Mr. Jones, who keeps blundering into strange situations, and the more questions he asks, the less the world makes sense to him. Dylan critic Mike Marqusee writes that "Ballad of a Thin Man" can be read as "one of the purest songs of protest ever sung", with its scathing take on "the media, its interest in and inability to comprehend [Dylan] and his music."

6. Queen Jane Approximately – Dylan is criticizing the subject of the song, warning her of an imminent fall from grace. Although the song covers similar ground to "Like a Rolling Stone", it is gentler and shows the subject some compassion.

7. Highway 61 Revisited –Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song as number 373 in their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. In each stanza, someone describes an unusual problem that is ultimately resolved on Highway 61. There is an evident political undertone in this absurd tale.

8. Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues - Lyrics describe a nightmare vision of the narrator's experience in Juarez, Mexico, in which he encounters sickness, despair, prostitutes, saints, shady women, corrupt authorities, alcohol and drugs, before finally deciding to return to New York City.

9. Desolation Row – Rolling Stone ranked the song as number 187 in their 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It has been noted for its length (11:21) and surreal lyrics in which Dylan weaves characters that are historical (Einstein, Nero), biblical (Noah, Cain and Abel), fictional (Ophelia, Romeo, Cinderella), literary (T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound), and some who fit into none of the above categories.

Favorite Tracks: Like A Rolling Stone, Desolation Row, Highway 61 Revisited, Ballad of a Thin Man, Tombstone Blues, Queen Jane Approximately

Overall Score: 10/10 (Trey & Shawn)
