The Queen of the battle, celebrates 27 October each year as the Infantry Day. On this very day, in response to the first threat to the sovereignty and territorial Integrity of our Nation, the first elements of the Indian Infantry landed in Srinagar and resolutely defended Kashmir from falling into the enemy hands. To commemorate this gallant action of the Infantry, 27 October is celebrated as Infantry Day #IndianArmy
