In 2023, the contract Playmates had with Toho to produce figures based on it's Non-Legendary universe was allowed to expire. It looks as though there was a reason for that as it seems Bandai is producing figures for the market that are significantly less costly tn S.H Monster Arts, but more attention to detail than the previously named company. But are these figures an improvement and if so are they a replacement for the comparably priced former NECA line of figures?
