1 pre-made pie crust (or any store-bought pie crust)
1 can dulce de leche (or caramel sauce)
2 - 3 ripe bananas
1 cup thickened whipping cream
2 tablespoons icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Flake or cocoa powder for garnish, optional

1. Open the can of dulce de leche, melt in a saucepan over low heat and spread it evenly over the bottom of the pie crust. This will be your caramel layer.

2. Slice bananas into thin rounds. Arrange the banana slices over the dulce de leche layer. Make sure to cover the entire surface with banana slices.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream, icing sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks.

4. Spread the whipped cream over the banana layer, making sure it's evenly distributed.

5. Sprinkle grated flake, chocolate or cocoa powder on top of the whipped cream for a finishing touch.

Chill:
Refrigerate the pie for at least 1-2 hours before serving. This helps the layers to set and makes it easier to slice.

Once chilled, slice and serve your cheat's Banoffee Pie. Enjoy!
