PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) is a type of refractive surgery to correct myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism. With PRK, they shave a layer of the Cornea down and zap your lens with a laser. With Lasik, they cut your cornea, peel it back, zap your lens with the laser, and place the cornea back. It heals and you're all good. PRK is the option for many reasons - mine in this case is because of my thin corneas. #PRK #PRKSURGERY #PRKUPDATE
