The original 1965 Broadway Aldonza/Dulcinea, Joan Diener, in "It's All the Same" and "Aldonza," from a limited engagement of "La Mancha" at the Boston Opera that played from Dec. '82 to Feb. '83. It marked the last time that original leads Richard Kiley and Diener did the show together. The indefatigable Diener would go on to take over the role of Aldonza (from Sheena Easton) in the 1992 Broadway revival.
