My time in Türkiye took a shocking turn. After traveling across the country for weeks, I finally reached Ankara—but what happened next made me book my flight home early. In this video, I take you through the final chapter of my Türkiye journey and into a new chapter of peaceful life as a British Muslim back in England.

It all started when I was overcharged and lied to in a restaurant in Ankara. I tried to brush it off, but the next day things escalated. At the Ankara bus station, a taxi driver physically confronted me for refusing his ride. He grabbed my shirt, shouted in my face, and kept touching me even after I told him to stop. I was angry, upset, and spiritually drained. I knew then—I needed to leave Türkiye before I lost the kindness of my tongue.

After this traumatic experience, I booked a flight from Ankara Airport and returned to the UK. But instead of ending the vlog there, I wanted to show the contrast between hectic travel life and peaceful life in England as a Muslim. I visited the biggest halal supermarket in Nottingham, where I found everything from Turkish pide to handmade baklava and even a women-only gym upstairs!

Downstairs, I tried the best falafel and shawarma I’ve had in a long time—made by a kind Muslim man running a small takeaway. We chatted, tasted, and laughed, and I remembered the comfort of Muslim brotherhood even far from Türkiye. I also bought a pistachio cake from the bakery and shared a moment of gratitude during a walk through the quiet fields near my home.

This vlog is an emotional and spiritual reflection on travel, anger, patience, and the beauty of Islam wherever you are—whether you’re facing trials abroad or reconnecting with peace at home.
