DOUBLE STRIKE & MORE! Another Awesome Relic Hunt In The Mystic Forest!

In this metal detecting adventure I return to the mystic forest to expand the search area. I also made a new XP DEUS speaker I was going to try, in hope to “improve” the audio output of my detector.

The relic hunt itself couldn’t unfold better. A tiny 1700’s button made me aware, that I’m in the right spot. The next find came right after in form of an early 1800’s (6 Kreuzer) silver coin, followed by another one. Double strike! Both coins were laying basically next to each other, which makes me believe that the same person lost them.
Although the first coin wasn’t located in a layer of soil it should be in, I guess the reason for this might be terrain change caused by a boar. The patina on this coin was darker, which could indicate that it was located closer to the surface (and was exposed to more oxygen) for a longer period of time.

Many musket balls later I was able to find a nice, very old looking buckle, but the highlight for me was a religious cross. It appeared 1600’s to me, but I actually did a brief research and found another (more or less) similar example that could confirm my guess. Check it out: https://www.wallfahrtsmedaillen.at/a/...
