Obsidian is born through an explosive and fiery eruption of a volcano, where with great power from deep within the earth, hot lava spews to the surface and quickly cools to form this natural black glass. Black obsidian stimulates personal growth on all levels by helping you find personal power from within, and like a volcano, bring that power forth to create transformation and a fertile future. You can use it for protection, guarding you against aggression and abuse, as well as utilising its sharp edges to ritually slice away hindering bonds or attachments.
