AIRMEN PASSING OUT PARADE, BELGAUM | Airmen Motivation | Airforce POP | Centurion Defence Academy

This video is about the Airmen Passing Out Parade, Belgaun. Passing out is the completion of a
course by military or other service personnel or the graduation from a college, largely in
Commonwealth nations. Soldiers sometimes take part in a passing out parade upon completion
of a basic training course. The military parade during the passing out also consists of military
bands and other displays of synchronization discipline such as acrobatics.
A reviewing officer, usually a senior officer, reviews the parade and hands out medals to
cadets who have excelled. Militaries around the world usually allow civilian guests including
parents, to attend the passing out parade. Passing Out Parade is celebrated as a coming of age
ceremony for the new cadets. Usually cadets parents, or relatives, pip in the ranks on the cadets
shoulders after which they officially become commissioned officers in the Indian Army. The
final ceremony of the POP day is the Pipping Ceremony where the Officers get to don the
coveted stars of a Lieutenant. A solemn Ceremony is held where Officers take the Oath in the
name of the Constitution of India in the presence of Indian Tricolour and consecrated by
Religious Teachers of all faiths.
An airman is a member of an air force of the country’s armed forces. In certain air forces, it can
also refer to a specific enlisted rank. A career as Indian Airforce Airman is not just a matter of
immense pride but the ones serving the country are subjected to a lot of respect. You can begin

Airforce. The rank of Airman brings it the responsibility of adjusting to the Air Force, adapting

screening and selection processes. These processes are aimed at testing and evaluating the mental
acuity, physical stamina and leadership skills of the candidates. Individuals who opt a career as
Indian Airforce Airman serve different administrative, technical and airborne roles. Individuals
who opt a career as Indian Airforce Airman play an active role in cost analysis, maintenance of
aircrafts, and combat rescue operations. There is a certain skill set required to opt for a career as
Indian Airforce Airman. One such has the ability to make quick decisions, analytical and logical
thinking, improvisational skills, communication skills, strong higher mental capabilities. Core
values of service, integrity and excellence are also sought after.

After the Passing Out Parade, these young airmen aspire to be the future of the Indian Airforce.
