In this Excel tutorial for beginners, I’ll show you, How to Hide a Column in Microsoft Excel. There are different ways to hide columns in an Excel spreadsheet. I’ll explain 3 ways in this tutorial. Here you’ll learn how to hide a column from the context menu, from the menu bar and using keyboard shortcuts.
Let’s say you need to hide all the information from Column A. If you want to use the context menu, you can do that. Follow the steps below to hide columns using context menu.

First you need to select the entire column you want to hide. Click on the column name to select the entire column.
Now right click on any of the selected cells and from the context menu, click hide.
Column A has been hidden.

Let’s use the second procedure to hide a column in MS excel.
Select any cell from the column you want to hide.
Now, from the “Home” tab, select "Format".
From the "Visibility" Section, Select Hide & Unhide.
Now click on "Hide Column." Done!

Let’s move on to the keyboard shortcuts to hide columns in Excel.
Select any cell from the column you want to hide. Now press Ctrl + 0 (Zero).
Remember, don’t press the Zero from the numeric keyboard.

Let’s try the next column using another keyboard shortcut. Select any cell from the column.
Now Press ALT + H + O + U + C. sequentially. Done!

This is how you hide columns in excel. You can unhide these hidden columns any time. Remember, if you hide a column and print the worksheet, that hidden column will not be printed. Let me show you what I mean by that. Press CTRL + P and now from the Print Preview you can see data from all your hidden columns aren’t here. That means hidden column data will not be printed.
