It begins with an overview, and then discusses each root operation and compares similar ones. This presentation is based on the book ICD-10-PCS Coding Guidelines Made Easy.

Root operations can be divided into: Procedures that take something out or off of body; Procedures that involve tissue or device within the body; Procedures that put something in or back into body; Procedures that always include a device; Procedures on tubular organs; Procedures to view or trace a body area; Procedures that treat wounds and bleeding; and Procedures that modifier or alter a body area.

The video also discussed guidelines for root operations.

The video discusses Appendix B: Root Operations and Appendix C: Comparison of Medical and Surgical Root Operations.
