A fun day out at Weston Park classic car show in April 2022

This year's Weston Park classic car show held over the long Easter weekend was a two-day event, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. We were at Oulton Park on the Sunday, so Monday saw us all head over to Shropshire and the grounds of Weston Park for this year's old car show. By all accounts there were more cars in attendance on the Sunday, but even so there were plenty of older cars to check out. As is often the case though, few of the attendees were from the pre-war era, just a sign of the times I suppose.
Highlights for me were the immaculate 1950s Morris Oxford, complete down to period literature displayed on the front seat and a fantastic assortment of old tools in the boot, an amazing survivor. I was also taken with the Hillman Husky estate, parked just along the same row with the Morris, a magnificent pre-war Rolls-Royce (first owner, a Mr Death!), a fine red Jensen C-V8, two period lorries (a Commer and a Bedford), a tweaked 105E Anglia, an early 1950s Ford Meteor saloon, and although quite modern to me, the wacky Renault Avantime was really interesting to see too.
