I did it in 8 tries and 20 minutes.
I use a season 8 finisher on the hunter.
To drop Crota in the void it must be placed in the middle of the plate and position parallel to him.
There’s a chance factor too.
I did it twice, even with my method which is calibrated sometimes crota falls into the void and teleports again on the map. This happens when it is not pushed far enough.
