2017 was a very good year. After having a whole experience journaling my thoughts for the last album, I decided to back away from the literal journal entries and start zooming out to find a broader narrative across the 5 years i had been putting music out. I had my own place, had a growing social life and felt like i was doing the right things with my life at the right time. I was reckoning with lost chances and paths i wasn't cut out to go down, and in general learning who I was independent of influences telling me what I should be. All in all it's an album about realizing you don't have to hold yourself to the image of you that others have if you have your own image of yourself in mind. The sense of self built on reflecting others, built on others projections, if it is not in line with your own needs, is not a sense of self worth keeping.
