The latest publication of the official resignation letter of the UK's Brexit envoy to the US shows that the majority of US and UK officials were deeply concerned about the GFA. With the recent survey that shows that the majority in the NoI support the Northern Ireland Protocol, it means that the lies that UK diplomats were told to tell, will surface again as evidence that Johnson cannot be trusted. This will exert pressure on Sefcovic to hold fast as he has learned directly from interested parties that Johnson has in effect no mandate to disrupt the WA. With EU member states leaders learning that UK diplomats were asked to lie, Sefkovic will find it hard to get EU leaders to accept any further compromise.
