In 2024-25, Teach For All along with the network partners in Africa launched the pilot program, EdLaunch Africa, an incubator for alumni-led social enterprises in the region. 14 alumni ventures were selected to join the intensive twelve-week bootcamp through which the alumni leaders learnt the foundations of building a scalable and sustainable education venture covering topics such as Theory of Change, Business Planning, Piloting, Fundraising, and Storytelling. At the end of the bootcamp, the entrepreneurs came together in Zimbabwe for a Shark-Tank style pitch event where they pitched their venture idea to an independent panel of judges. Five ventures were selected to receive between USD 5000 and 6000 in seed funding to enable them to focus full-time on their ideas that bridge the gap in educational equity in Africa.
