రామాపురం అనే గ్రామం దగ్గర ఒక చెరువులో చేపలు ఉన్నాయి. ఆ గ్రామములో అందరూ బట్టలు పిండుకోవడానికి ఆ చెరువు దగ్గరకి వస్తారు. ఆ చెరువు నీరు తాగుతారు, కొంతమంది ఆ చెరువు లో ఉన్న చేపలు పట్టుకొని అమ్ముకుంటారు. వేసవి కాలంలో చెరువులో ఉన్న చెరువులో నీరు తగ్గిపోతున్నాయి. ఆ చెరువు లో నీరు దగ్గడం వల్ల ఆ గ్రామంలో ఉన్న ప్రజలతో పాటు చెరువులో ఉన్న చేపలకు కూడా ఇబ్బంది పడుతున్నాయి. చెరువులో మూడు బంగారు చేపలు ఉన్నాయి. బంగారు చేపలు ఉంటాయని ఆ గ్రామంలో ఉన్న ప్రజలకు తెలియదు. నిండు పున్నమి రోజున్నా చేపలు ఆ చిన్న చెరువు లో నాట్యం చేస్తాయి. ఆ గ్రామంలో ఒక అమ్మాయీ పేరు రాణి ఒక రోజు నిండు పున్నమి రోజున్నా చెరువులో ఉన్న బంగారు చేపలను నాట్యం చేస్తుండంగా రాణి చూస్తుంది. రాణి ఇంటికి వెలినంక వాళ్ళ అమ్మ నాన్నలతో చెప్పుతుంది. రాణి వాళ్ల అమ్మ నమ్ముతుంది కానీ రాణి వాళ్ళ నాన్న నమ్మాడు. ఇంట్లో ఉన్న వాళ్ళు తాబేలును పెంచుకుంటారు. ఆ రాణి వాళ్ళ అమ్మ తాబేలుతో నువ్వు అ చెరువులోకి వెళ్లి ఒక బంగారు చెప్పాను తీసుకొన్నీ రా. అని చెపుతుంది.సరే అని చెప్పి ఎండిపోతున్న ఆ చిన్న చెరువులోకి వెళ్ళుతుంది. ఆ చెరువులోకి వెళ్లిన్నా తాబేలు అటు ఇటు చూస్తుంది. అక్కడ బంగారు చేపలు కనిపించదు, వేరే చేపలు ఉంటాయి. అవి చూసినా తాబేలు బంగారు చేపలు కాదు అని ఇంకా బూడిద లోపలి వెళ్ళుతుంది. అక్కడ మెరుస్తూ ఉన్న ఒక బంగారు తోక కనిపిస్తుంది. ఆ బంగారు చేపను తాబేలు నోటితో పట్టుకొని బయటికి వస్తుండ్డంగా మధ్యలో ఎండ్రికాయ వస్తుంది. తాబేలు చూసినా ఎండ్రికాయ కోపం తో తాబేలు కాలును కొరుకుతోంది. తాబేలు ఆ నొప్పి భరించలేక బంగారు చేపలు వదిలేసి బయటికి వస్తుంది. జరిగిదంతా రాణి వాళ్ళ అమ్మకి చెపుతుంది.

The heron, who was catching fish in small ponds with his mouth, leaned on a hill and started eating fish. Once it was Endrikaya's turn, the heron flew towards the pond.
