It seems like it was written in the stars for Hilary Swank to become a movie star. She had been dreaming of it since early years and like in a fairy-tale her dreams came true. She first appeared on a stage at the age of 9 when performing at one of the school plays. After that she kept practicing acting skills not only at school, but also during special acting classes and later even in the University. At 16 she moved to LA with mother and that’s where and when she started building professional career. Before Hilary was offered really worthy roles, she was featured in minor series for different TV shows. In 1994, she received the first major role in a movie The Next Karate Kid. Many producers noticed a young talented actress and began inviting her for castings. In such a way, Swank took part in such hit films as Beverly Hills 90210, Boys Don’t Cry, Million Dollar Baby and so many others. Today, the movie star is one of the most successful performers worldwide.

Hilary’s father Stephen was a sergeant. He left the family when a future starlet was only 6 and didn’t participate much in her life. Only recently the father and daughter got back on good terms and Swank even became dad’s caretaker since he had a lung transplant.

After the divorce, the mother Judy became a single parent and was struggling to make the ends meet. She was that same person who believed in Hilary and that’s why they moved to Los Angeles in search for a better life. Despite the fact that they almost had no money and had to live in a car, they both achieved all goals they wanted. Hilary is an extremely proud mother of a famous daughter.

The celebrity has a younger brother Daniel. In early teens he left home which made Hilary very sad. He is married but one can hardly say that it is a happy union.

As for the movie star’s personal life, it is also quite intriguing. She first walked down the aisle with a well-known actor Chad Lowe in 1997. It seemed like everything was fine until they announced of the divorce in 2007, the main ground of which was the spouse’s interest in drugs. During 10 years of being together, the couple didn’t produce kids.

Since 2007 and up till 2012, Swank had been in a relationship with John Campisi, who was her agent. They had been working together for some time before they realized the chemistry was there. After 5 years of being together, they both decided to walk separate ways for unknown reason.

In 2012, the actress met a French real estate broker named Laurent Fleury. He was married before and has 2 kids, so that Swank had a chance to experience what it is like to be a mother. They were together for 3 years after which broke up.

A financial adviser and former tennis player Ruben Torres became Hilary’s fiancé in 2016. The two love birds had been dating for a year when Torres proposed. However, two months after the engagement, the actress called it off.

Philip Schneider led Hilary down to the altar in summer 2018. Schneider is a successful entrepreneur, who met Swank on a blind date and ever since that time they had been happy together.

Hilary doesn’t have kids.
