Patients come to me with many different symptoms. For the ears, it can be tinnitus (buzzing sound), ear fullness, vertigo or spinning sensation, giddiness, hearing loss, or blockage.

For the nose, common problems include nasal blockage, runny nose, loss of smell, difficulty breathing, one-sided blockage, or bleeding from the nose.

For the throat, patients may have loss of voice, postnasal drip, frequent throat clearing, or lumps in the neck.

All these symptoms are often connected. For example, in some cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (cancer of the nose), patients may not have bleeding or discharge, but instead present with ear fullness or ringing. That’s why a full and detailed ENT examination is so important — to get the right diagnosis and the right treatment for you.
