Stop-Motion Transformation of Sentinel Toys 1/12 Genesis Climber Mospaeda Houquet et Rose (Rook Bartley). Been waiting for Sentinel to produce a Rook Bartley Cyclone. When I was a kid I really liked the Robotech show, which was actually a collection of three completely different Japanese shows. This is one of the Armor Cycles (or Cyclones as they were called in the US) from the series “Genesis Climber Mospaeda” (“Robotech: The New Generation” in the US) that was owned and operated by Rook Bartley. (“Houquet et Rose” in Japan) I had a bit of a crush on Rook.

Production Note: This was a bit difficult because it’s hard to balance and some of the armatures are “Fans Toys loose”. Attentive viewers will have noticed the missing handlebar in the final turn-around. It’s not that they’re delicate, but that handle was on the far side and I think I accidentally got it caught when I pressed the arm armatures into place. So the post it was pinned to snapped off, being a rather small post. Gluing it back will be tricky since it’s meant to be a rotating part. Ah, well.

Viewing Note:
If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking.
