A movie clip of the climactic scene in the movie "Country," in which Dunkerton student, Levi Knebel, played a pivotal role. In this scene, the family is resigned to a farm auction of their possessions, equipment, and land to pay off their FHA debt. Jewell (Jessica Lange) has been contacting local farmers to come to the auction, hoping they can put a stop to it somehow, but she has doubts it will work. Local auctioneer, Conrad Doan, plays himself and calls out the items as they begin the bidding on the hayrack. The last item on the rack is Otis' (Wilford Brimley) father's horse harness, which has sentimental value to the family but little monetary value. After several low bids, Carlisle (Levi Knebel) calls out "$28.65!" and walks up, puts the cash into the auction recorder's (June Ann Doan) hands, and delivers the harness to his grandfather Otis. Banished father, Gil, has arrived at the auction in time to witness his son's kind gesture, and the moment seems to seal the crowd's resolve to stop the auction. The crowd refuses to bid on the machinery, starts to shout, "No Sale! No Sale!", and runs off Fordyce (Alex Harvey), the FHA man. Many local people were in this scene, which took six days to film in an unseasonably frigid November of 1983.
