VLOGTOBER Episode 3 ~ Hastings Bonfire Night & Fireworks ~ Gallery Wall Tour & A Thumb Malfunction

Hello My Lovelies,

Welcome to Vlogtober Episode 3 where really not much sewing goes on at all! One of my favourite events in my little town is Hastings Bonfire Night and Fireworks display! There's so much magic and energy in the smoke filled air, it fills my heart with joy! It was even more special because it hadn't taken place last year and you could feel the happiness in the air ~ a truly special night.

October is filled with bonfire nights around my part of the world and each town has their own bonfire society with their own colours shown in the striped knitted sweaters each member wears. The procession winds it's way through this little Old Town, the drummers creating a magical beat, ending up at the bonfire, which is lit by all the torches. Each year, an effigy is burned and this year, a corona virus was atop the bonfire! Then the fireworks! I've left in the sounds and if you're not partial to the bangs and so, apologies!

The final big display takes place in Lewes on the 5th of November ~ commemorating the Gunpowder plot to blow up the British Parliament and also the 17 protestant martyrs that were burnt at the stake by Bloody Mary in the early 1500's. I would love to go one year!
