Age of mythology retold is on it's way and I have decided now is the time to get ahead and learn how to play competitive Age of Mythology. There's a LOT to learn but it's a lot of fun. In this 1v1, I play as Poseidon using a Hippikon rush build order. So far I have only been learning how to play as the greek civs in Age of mythology. before i test the Egyptians, Norse and Atlanteans.

Steppe lancers are the best castle age unit there is in age of empires 2 in my opinion. The tatars steppe lancer rush can be great if you make use of the hill bonus. This aoe2 build order for the tatars steppe lancer rush is quite risky and you need to accept that you will possibly lose a villager in the early feudal age. but once you reach 14 minutes and can make a couple of steppe lancers, you can easily destroy a feudal age army and then break through the walls to raid the enemy economy. by 17 minutes, you should be in the enemy base, where the steppe lancers can do their job as the best raiding unit in aoe2.
