Second off, I tried to make this a Let's Teach (similar to what Josh Ryuk does). If a couple of people ask for it (or maybe in the next few days) I'll make a version without my constant text/commentary on the screen. Maybe fix up a few things while I'm at it. Hopefully there's a pinch of helpful/informative info in here for people who don't know much, people who do, or even DSP.

Here it is folks! The (first part of the) long awaited TIHYDP I promised long ago, should we ever reach this day. Game close to my (and many other people's) heart(s). Metroid Prime. DSP jumps into this one head first, and how does he fair?

Motion controls and faulty hardware. Not scanning and not Locking on. Platforming fails and ignoring story. Not learning controls and a big finale. Damage control and a cliff hanger? What will become of this playthrough (and by extension, a continuation of this TIHYDP?)

DSP isn't even at the hardest part of this game. Should he continue to play it, he will have to learn from his mistakes either with an open mind, or the hard way. This game is difficult regardless of setting at the end. This is not a game like Persona 4, or REmake where Easy mode is literally Baby's first JRPG or Horror game (not that I'm bashing those games, I love them). This is an action game. Real time reflexes and knowledge of the game's combat are required. Sitting in one place shooting and expecting not to get hit are not options sadly. This is an old school style game.

DSP is actually close to the end, I'd say he's about 65-70% done. He has a few more upgrades, then he has to collect artifacts (expect a lot of backtracking complaints and such) and face three deadly bosses. I can totally foresee an early end to this playthrough. He was able to cheese most of the game using scrub tactics, but that time has come to an end.
