This clock is very unique, and although a challenge to retrofit, breaks the paradigm of "impossible repairs". Upon repair drop-off, the clock gained nearly 240 seconds a day, and upon project completion, was beyond the tolerance of measurable time itself as it kept pace with radio controlled atomic clocks. This clock had a modified Synchron electric motor installed in place of the original Argentine motor, which was designed to run @ 50 Hz, instead of the standard 60 cycle American grid. With a couple parts add'l being fabricated, such as the pickup arm and a new stop ramp, the retrofit was smooth and seamless, and most importantly, fully functional. This clock literally put the "making" in clockmaking, and is the pride of our repair standards, higher than any others in the region.
