Looks like so far we were just only scratching the surface of the game story. A bunch of new enemies arrived as we wonder deeper into the refinery complex. What we've encountered is a "thing" called Guardian by Darwin Era cult. Lunatic volunteer to have implanted alien embryo in stasis device on their chest allowing them to move freely within Xenomorphs. As such they've created a cult within a cult and seem to be seen as a symbol of evolution for the followers. Another new enemy is evolutional step forward but this time it is a chosen one from Drones, a few that has evolved further as the hive has reached the end of its cycle. These are called Praetorians, these much bigger, smarter and tougher then regular Drones, can be spotted walking alone but have the ability to summon additional drones with a distinct and intimidating scream for support to attack the enemies. It goes without saying that these are a priority targets as they also poses an extra brutal ability to torment their prey prior killing blow.
It is tough out there right now, all marines are very very stressed and developing multiple traumas. Presence of our new psychologist on board is more then welcome for their recovery as well as facilities we have now to keep marines in peak condition and occupied to boost their morale. At least they think they are ready for what's about to come - but are they? ... It is yet to be found.
There have been no casualties within our lines of duty so far but something is telling me this is about to change very soon, better be ready to accept loses ...
