Digital Vibes scandal

One of South Africa’s first significant National Health Insurance contracts was allegedly awarded to close associates of Zweli Mkhize, the health minister who is currently on special leave.
Digital Vibes allegedly added massive mark-ups on invoices for questionable communications services rendered to the Department of Health.
Acting minister of health Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, along with Director General Sandile Buthelezi appeared before parliament on Thursday to give an update on the vaccine procurement. They also accounted for the state of preparedness for the third wave and progress made in the investigations by the SIU. The portfolio committee on health demanded that the department disclose names of officials who have been found guilty in the Digital Vibes scandal.
