Melinda Payan and The Truth About Lending Team are your residential mortgage specialists!

Melinda has over twenty-five years of experience in financial and residential lending industry. After college, Melinda was a financial advisor. She very quickly decided that she wanted to transition into helping people achieve their dreams of owning a home. She has been a licensed Loan Originator for over 20 years specifically focusing on the Florida market. Melinda sees mortgage financing from a unique perspective. In 2008, when the mortgage industry crashed Melinda and her family went through some difficult times when one of her children was very sick. She had to short sale her own home. She knows how it feels to get a fresh start, and she has developed a passion for helping others. She continues to maintain both a state and federal loan originator’s license.

The Truth about Lending is her company, and it offers you more than twenty-five years of business and financial expertise to successfully and expeditiously negotiate your financing needs.

Melinda has lived in South Florida since 1976 and is raising her family in the very county that she grew up in. She has been actively involved in many civic associations and has been a keynote speaker for the March of Dimes “Women of Distinction” Conference. Melinda is also the former host of the weekly radio show, The Truth About Lending and is also a published author.

Melinda has always worked by referral and believes in treating her clients the way that she, herself, would want to be treated.
