Welcome to Act 1 Scene 5 of Macbeth 👀📖
This scene takes us inside Macbeth’s castle at Inverness and marks a major shift in the play.

Lady Macbeth reads a letter from Macbeth describing his meeting with the witches and their prophecies 📜
She immediately believes the prediction that Macbeth will become king.

Unlike Macbeth, Lady Macbeth is not hesitant.
She worries that her husband is too kind and too moral to take the crown by force.

When she learns that King Duncan is coming to stay at their castle, she sees an opportunity 👑
She calls on dark forces to remove her compassion and fill her with cruelty.

Macbeth arrives, and Lady Macbeth begins to take control.
She questions his courage and pushes him toward action, promising to handle the plan herself.

By the end of the scene, the idea of murder is no longer abstract.
It has become a real and dangerous possibility.
