This mid-week shop update covers a little bit of everything — real restoration work, fabrication, rust repair, and classic Chevy builds getting pushed forward.

Mike finishes up major rust repair on the K5 Blazer with new rockers, floors, and structure, getting one side solid and back together before it heads to bodywork. Door gaps are corrected, the floor is solid again, and this big truck is finally moving forward after years of rot.

We start tearing down the 55 Chevy pickup to prep for a front clip swap, pulling the sheet metal, radiator, and engine. This truck is getting power steering and disc brakes for better drivability, and we explain why clipping the frame often makes more sense than piecing together bolt-on upgrades. The engine is headed out for a fresh inspection and cleanup before going back in.

Sean continues dialing in the retro ’69 McLaren project, finishing fiberglass headlight work and cutting functional brake air ducts before primer. We walk through how measurements are taken, patterns are made, and symmetry is achieved without factory instructions.

The 66 Nova also comes apart as bodywork begins panel by panel. Factory four-speed, real-deal car — hood and fenders off so everything can be properly prepped and aligned.

We finish the day welding floors and cab mounts into the 62 Chevy pickup, explaining plug welds, butt welds, and why “tidy-ups” don’t always mean full frame-off restorations.
