In this walkthrough, you’ll learn how to create project milestones, review logged time, and generate reports that clearly demonstrate progress and value to your clients. Start by heading to the Milestones tab. This is where you define key checkpoints, whether for internal tracking, client reporting, or billing purposes. Set the date range for your milestone, then click Calculate. SoProjects will automatically pull in relevant data for that period, giving you a snapshot of project activity. You’ll see calculated metrics for the selected range, along with all time entries logged during that window. Review each entry and decide whether to include or exclude it from the milestone report. Mark any internal errors or non-billable time as Exclude. This keeps your client-facing reports clean and focused. You can also add commentary, highlight issues, or flag risks to provide context and insight alongside the numbers. Once everything looks good, save the milestone. You’ll now be able to generate a polished report that reflects real progress and supports transparent communication with your client. For a visual overview, switch to the Gantt View. This gives you a timeline of deliverables and team allocations, helping you spot overlaps, gaps, and upcoming deadlines at a glance.
