This video is about a check engine light event triggered by a possible EWS communications error. It turns out Bimmerlink can be used to investigate and reset this type of error.

I think I caused it by pressing the stop/start button too rapidly after I was checking the 'hidden menu' & then quickly exited/restarted the car. Fault hasn't returned after clearing errors. This also highlights that the CEL can activate for reasons that are independent of the REX motor.
