Trains & Buses at Oats Street - Transperth

Описание к видео Trains & Buses at Oats Street - Transperth

In this video we visit Oats Street, a busy station on the Armadale and Thronlie lines in the Perth south-eastern suburbs of Carlisle and East Victoria Park. The station is an important station on the line with all services stopping here; making it an interchange point between express Armadale line services and stopping-all-stations Thornlie line services. Here we see two and four car Transperth A Series EMU's, but we also see the Transwa Australind heading towards Bunbury.

We also visit the adjacent bus interchange where we see mostly see Volvo B7RLE's but a Mercedes Benz O500LE also makes an appearance. Oats Street is the Armadale/Thornlie line interchange point with the Circleroute 998 & 999, which forms a loop around Perth's inner suburbs and provides important access to Curtin University.

Oats Street opened on the 28th November 1954 as part of a timetable change that saw the introduction of diesel railcars in Perth, with Oats Street being one of six stations opening that day. Oats Street station will soon be rebuilt as part of the Victoria Park - Canning Level Crossing Removal Project, which will see six level crossings removed along the Armadale Line and five stations rebuilt above ground. The station will close on the 20th November 2023 which will see the line closed for 18 months to enable the project to take place. The date will also see the retirement of the current Australind ADP/ADQ railcars which will be replaced with new diesel railcars built by Alstom based on the new Transperth C Series EMU's.
