Banja Luka or Бања Лука (2024) is - after Sarajevo - the second largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Like Mostar and Sarajevo it is a cosmopolitan city with historic Islamic Mosques and Christian Churches. Banja Luka has 140,000 citizens, while the larger metropolitan region of the city has a total population of 185,000. Some highlights of the city are the Ferhat Pasha Mosque, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the Shopping Mall and the Vrbas River.
