Helm Chart for Signing – Quick Start SignServer by Using Kubernetes and Helm

Описание к видео Helm Chart for Signing – Quick Start SignServer by Using Kubernetes and Helm

In this tutorial, you will learn how to add a SignServer Community Helm repository, configure deployments by customizing the Helm chart configuration file, and connect to an external database.

Helm is a Kubernetes package manager for deploying Helm charts. A Helm chart is a set of preconfigured Kubernetes application resources that allows you to install packages and deploy a containerized application using a single command.

Deploying SignServer as a Helm Chart is the easiest way to get started with our open-source signing platform on Kubernetes. SignServer Community Helm chart is a simple Helm chart that will get you started quickly while also allowing you to create a production-like installation of SignServer to test.

📚 The tutorial covers these steps:
0:14 Add signserver-community-helm as a Helm chart repository
0:53 Deploy SignServer as an ephemeral testing instance in Kubernetes using Helm
8:38 Connect SignServer running in Kubernetes to an external database for data persistence

💡 Prerequisites
Before you begin you will need:
- Helm - the package manager for Kubernetes. See https://helm.sh/.
- To be familiar with the YAML format and how to use the Kubernetes command-line tool kubectl. See https://kubernetes.io/docs/reference/....
- An existing PKI. This tutorial uses EJBCA. See the previous video in this playlist:
